Updated · By Chase Jordan

The short answer

Choose Zona Romántica if you want to walk to the beach, restaurants and nightlife; Marina Vallarta if you want the marina, golf and quick airport access; and Villa Las Flores if you want more space for the money near the Marina and Hotel Zone. Zona Romántica has the highest condo price per m² on the MLS in the last 12 months.

Zona Romántica (Emiliano Zapata)

The old town south of the Río Cuale: cobblestone streets, Los Muertos beach, the pier, and the city’s densest mix of restaurants and bars. Buyers here want to walk everywhere and often rent part of the year. It is the most expensive area per m² for condos on the MLS. More on the Zona Romántica page.

Marina Vallarta

A planned district around the marina and the golf course, minutes from the airport. Condos with marina views, golf-course villas and a quieter, residential feel. Buyers often want easy flights in and out and a calmer base. More on the Marina Vallarta page.

Villa Las Flores

A residential area near the Marina and the Hotel Zone where newer condo buildings such as Mangle Living Home offer more space for the price. The MLS groups it within a larger zone, so it has no separate figures here. More on the Villa Las Flores page.
